It’s been brought to my attention that I am often not talking to a real flesh and blood person, but to all the medication they’re on. It always comes as a huge surprise that I’ll never get over. Whether it’s a close friend, family or complete stranger, I lose my grip on the “nobody home” phenomenon. If you have ever read the book, “Sybil”, you’ll know what I mean.
My favorite of her personalities was the one that she would slip into teenage mode and she and her real life daughter would steal “Mom’s” credit cards and max them out on huge shopping trips. Her daughter would then return them immediately.
I so quickly forget that there is nobody home…..
